With the successful installation of the Canon varioPRINT iX 2100 at the Westpark site, allcop has set a new benchmark in expanding its digital production printing and reached an important milestone on the path toward the next generation of photo production. The installation was completed in less than two weeks by the highly specialized technical team from Canon Deutschland GmbH. allcop employees also played a key role in the success of the project: the close cooperation between the two companies and a spirit of collegial teamwork turned the installation into a genuine joint achievement.

By investing in the Canon varioPRINT iX, allcop is expanding its digital printing portfolio with the most advanced inkjet technology of its class. Alongside the established silver halide photo process, the company is strengthening its position as one of the leading production partners within the European photo industry and the market for personalized print solutions.

Among the key strengths of the Canon varioPRINT iX are its high print resolution, print volume, and production speed (up to 210 A4 pages per minute), as well as its water-based inks. These inks enable production without compromise in terms of color brilliance or durability. Thanks to their improved deinkability, printed materials can be recycled more easily, contributing to the circular use of resources.

“As part of our long-term digital printing strategy, we are investing specifically in state-of-the-art printing technologies – such as inkjet – to provide our partners and customers with the highest levels of production reliability, print quality, and color consistency. This enables us to deliver outstanding quality for photo books, calendars, and cards while maintaining an attractive price-performance ratio,” explains Andreas Schätzle, CCO at allcop.

As the project progresses, Canon continues to support the allcop team with technical expertise, professional service, and targeted assistance in the areas of color management, workflow integration, and system optimization.
